About This Project

The 347th was a Tactical Fighter Wing. It was made up of 3 Fighter Squadrons. They were the 35th Fighter Squadron, 36th Fighter Squadron and the 80th Fighter Squadron. We were also responsible for a Squadron of B57s and F111s. The 347th Wing had several other Squadrons (such as) 347th AMS, 347th AGE, and others to be added later. The following pages will show only some of the numerous Aircraft we maintained in a High ready state. Some were Reconnaissance aircraft and others were used for bombing missions.
